For the Winter/Spring Trial 2010/2011, 205 lines (84 Winter OSR; 55 Spring OSR; 34 swede; 31 fodder/forage/salad kales; 1 synthetic) were included, see 2010/2011 line list
. All lines (150 winter and 55 spring types) of the BnaDFFS, where sufficient seed was available regardless of genetic status, and all the additional lines included in the 2009/2010 Trials were drilled by Rothamsted Research on 06/09/2010 and 13/09/2010.Additional information 2010/2011 (year 2)
- Winter and spring types were drilled (Sept 2010) in the same trial
- ONE nitrogen treatment: residual (low) total available N (no N applied)
- Two replicate plots
- Each replicate plot was drilled in fourteen rows 1.8 M x 1.5 M; 160 seed per plot
- Trial surrounds were drilled (80 seeds/m2) with Castille
- Early establishment: field perimeter was netted to protect against rabbits, pigeon guns, flappers and humming tape were used to prevent pigeon damage
- Control of pests, diseases according to standard agronomic procedures
